it’s only the music now (2004)

morpho’s second album, it’s only the music now, printed in 2004 starts in 1994 and finishes 10 years later. During that decade Hungary absolutely and irrevocably became part of the international cycle of light music. Budapest was surely among the tour dates of the greatest stars of the world, so the freshest musical productions and the most spectacular show elements could be reached by the Hungarian audience. Just a few years earlier nobody would have thought that the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson or the U2 was ever to have a concert in Budapest, or that the freshest gig of the Muse or Robbie Williams was to be seen in the Hungarian capital as well. It was a special kind of period partly because concert organizer companies had to welcome stars at locations not having the ideal conditions and to satisfy their technical and other needs. Lights, leds, projectors filling trucks, background staff managing lights all had to be fitted onto the stage which was not even existing. Performers of that period are put into this album, because morpho was there where he was needed to picture those who count. World has changed a lot since then: Sziget festival has grown up, the new sports arena has been built and the know-how of organizing concerts has changed. The photographer’s task of documenting finished in 2004.
